Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston, about how the Charleston police acted in DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time at Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell is a leading anchor at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
